Why do Spaniards bury their dead so quickly?

Burials and funerals in Spain generally happen within two days of a person passing, whereas in other European countries they wait weeks, sometimes even a month. Why are Spaniards in such a rush to say goodbye to their deceased loved ones?

In Northern Ireland a body will almost always be buried within 3 days. This INCLUDES A WAKE if there is one.
