Spain’s Congress of Deputies on Thursday finally approved the bill that will put an end to the residency scheme that allows non-EU nationals who buy a Spanish property for half a million euros to obtain residency.

Long overdue apart from the security issues that the article does not mention.

It would be worth including in this article how many properties were bought in Spain by both other EU nationals and 3rd country nationals who didn’t apply for a golden visa. This dwarfs the number of golden visas issued.
