Nationwide bus strike
More than 80,000 bus drivers are called to a general strike in road passenger transport starting this Monday, to demand early retirement due to the risky working conditions they face in old age.
The nationwide stoppage, called by Spain’s main trade unions CCOO and UGT, is set to affect intercity and urban buses as well as school buses.
Initially, some 300,000 transport workers were meant to take part, but a deal was reached for 220,000 truck drivers and ambulance drivers.
It’s yet to be seen how many bus drivers will take part in today’s strike, and there are six other strike days scheduled for November and December.

Spanish PM in India seeking to bolster trade ties
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez was welcomed to India Monday with a flower-filled open-top parade alongside counterpart Narendra Modi, as Madrid seeks to boost investment in the world's fifth-largest economy.

The duo waved to crowds in a vehicle smothered in orange marigold garlands on their way to inaugurate a military aircraft factory, a collaboration between Tata Advanced Systems and Airbus, in Vadodara in Gujarat state.
It is the first visit by a Spanish premier to India for 18 years.

Rain across most of the country
After a wet weekend for much of Spain, the rain is set to continue on Monday.
National weather agency Aemet forecasts showers and storms across the mainland and the Balearic Islands, with rainfall throughout the day in Girona, Tarragona, Castellón, Albacete, Almería, Málaga and around the Strait of Gibraltar.
The Valencia region and Murcia are both on alert for heavy rain, with as much as 150 litres/sqm forecast.
The bad weather is expected to continue, and even worsen on Tuesday in parts of the country.
Spanish press awash with news of Errejón sexual scandal
Spain’s left-wing has been rocked by news that one of the country’s most recognizable politicians, Íñigo Errejón, has been accused by at least one woman of sexual abuse.
One of the founders of hard-left Podemos and a household name in the governing junior coalition party Sumar, Errejón was accused by actress Elisa Mouliaá of forcing himself onto her.
Reports in the press suggest that Errejón was receiving treatment for addiction to sex and drugs.
Sumar, a coalition of parties which are openly feminist, are now under pressure to reveal how much they knew about Errejón's conduct.
Mouliaá has faced a backlash from trolls online who have questioned why she only sounded the alarm about Errejón three years after the incident took place.
