my wife is a Colombian citizen, who used to live in Spain and has an NIE number but no longer has a valid document as she returned to look after her mother a few years ago. my question is, as a third country citizen I currently have to apply every time for a letter of invitation rather than a visa. will the ETIAS system negate the need for this document as it's designed to be able to check how long she will be in the country automatically

I am the spouse (UK passport) of a wife who travels on an Irish passport. We have a second home in the Murcia region. Can I enter through the Spanish border control with my wife? Also do I have to apply for a TIE if I want to exceed the 90 day rule.

Any idea how this will work for citizens of countries that have bilateral visa agreements with EU countries, that currently permit stays of over 90 days?
