What is the source of the affirmation that financial products such as pensions are not subject to wealth tax? I receive a British company pension; my gestor calculates the capital value of the income according to an official formula and that is included in my patrimonio.

I would love to understand exactly how “pension” is defined. Specifically, is a US 401k subject to the wealth tax? One Spanish law firm said yes it is. But I’ve also heard knowledgeable people insist that it is not. I would love a DEFINITIVE answer - one that points to specific language in the tax code.
