The 2025 Super Bowl, one of the most anticipated events in the American sporting calendar, will unfold in the early hours of Monday, February 10th, with kick-off scheduled for 12.30am Madrid time.
This year’s edition will see the reigning champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, go head-to-head with the Philadelphia Eagles at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, with Kendrick Lamar set to perform in the Halftime Show.
If the Chiefs were to win this year’s game, they'd be the first team in history to ever win three back-to-back Super Bowl titles.
But how can American football fans catch the game in Spain?
Sports streaming and entertainment platform DAZN is the best option to watch the Super Bowl on TV in Spain through their NFL Game Pass.
Currently, for just €0.99 you can watch the Super Bowl LIX live in 1080p Full HD as well as more content with their Season Pro package. You can sign up for it here.
They also have the Season Pro Ultimate package for €4.99 which allows you to watch the Super Bowl in HDR, offers even more content and the possibility of streaming on up to five devices.
If you only want to watch the Super Bowl and don’t want to carry on paying for the NFL Game Pass, don’t forget to unsubscribe after the grand finale.
There’s also the option of watching the Super Bowl through Movistar+, which will give you access to a lot more sports, movies, series and other content (not just NFL) but this costs €9,99 per month.
Alternatively, you may want to consider getting a VPN to stream international channels that are airing the final, in the US for example. The paid VPNs are more reliable and offer faster streaming than the free options.
Although American football and the NFL is becoming increasingly popular in Spain, the late time at which the Super Bowl will be broadcast in Spain means that you may struggle to find regular Spanish bars that show it as most will be closed.
Your best bet are Irish pubs and sports bars in big cities or tourist hotspots which stay open until late on Sunday.
For example, the George Payne Irish Pub in Barcelona has announced that it will show the Super Bowl, as has the Hard Rock Café in Madrid, so if you have a favourite pub or American bar in Spain it's worth finding out if they will broadcast the game.
