Why do Spaniards dress for the season rather than the weather?
One it's officially autumn, for many in Spain it's time to take the big coat out of the closet and wear it, even if it's not cold! Photo: Mor Shani/Unsplash

Winter does not actually start until about the 22 of December. I always dress for the weather, not the season. Living in Southern California, it is pretty much like Spain. However, we moved to New Zealand and in the middle of summer it can drop to 8 degrees, rain and blow it so hard that the rain goes sideways and back up - horrible. We are moving permanently to Spain the beginning of next year. We can't wait.
