'Vidrio' is a noun that refers to glass. Whenever you are recycling in Spain, you will find a green container for 'vidrio' where you should put any glass bottles, bulbs, pitchers…

         What is the difference between glass and crystal?

 

  • Las botellas de vino son de vidrio para conservar el sabor.

         Wine bottles are made of glass to preserve the flavor.

 

If you have ojos vidriosos it means you are about to cry. 

  • Un síntoma de la alergia son los ojos vidriosos.

           Glazed eyes are a symptom of allergies. 

 

It is less used in Spain but you can use vidrio for window.
