It provides the first look at the latest episodes in the George R R Martin fantasy hit series which was shot on location last autumn at various sites in Spain.

For the third consecutive season, places in Spain were chosen to portray scenes from across the Seven Kingdoms, from rugged Basque beaches in the north to the Moorish splendour of Seville in the south.

The trailer promises “ a great war is coming” with Cersei Lanister moodily seated upon the Iron throne threatening to defeat all enemies, while Daenerys vows to fulfil her birthrate.

“I was born to rule the Seven Kingdoms”.

The trailer opens with a shot from Seville’s Real Alcázar palace, which stands in as Cersei’s palace in Dorne.

It also provides a glimpse of action at San Juan de Gaztelugatxe in Bermeo in Spain’s northern Basque region, where Malisandre is seen watching figures approach Dragonstone.

The seventh season of Game of Thrones begins on July 16th on HBO in Spain.
