Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Garcia-Margalló was joined by French Foreign Minister, Laurent Fabius and German Foreign Minister, Frank-Walker Steinmeier to observe a minute's silence at the unveiling of a memorial to the victims of the Germanwings disaster.

The three foreign ministers laid a wreath by a mosaic by Spanish artist Joan Miró, before observing a minute's silence.

The majority of the victims of the March 24th crash were of German and Spanish nationality.

All 150 passengers were killed when co-pilot, Andreas Lubitz, deliberately flew the plane into the southern French Alps.

Representatives from 36 countries are meeting in Barcelona today for a Euro-Mediterranean summit which is expected to focus on the fight against jihadist terrorism.
