Scandal in Alcalá: Striptease staged at town hall retirement party

Office parties can get a little out of hand, but council workers in Alcalá de Henares have found themselves in hot water after calling in a stripper to perform at a party for a retiring colleague.

The party took place at the end of the working day on council premises on March 4th when misguided colleagues decided the appropriate send-off for a fellow worker was to call in a stripper.

The male council worker, whose identity has not been revealed, looked like he had the time of his life as the whole episode was caught on camera and then posted on youtube.

Luckily for those involved, the footage in the six-minute video was so blurry that faces are unrecognisable, although is clear that the erotic dancer stripped to her underwear and performed a lap dance over the departing worker before mingling with delighted guests.

The episode caused outrage among political factions in the town hall with some calling decrying the abuse of council facilities which saw a municipal office “turned into a strip club” and others labelling it an “attack on the dignity of women”.

Miguel Ángel Lezcano, the spokesman for the Ciudadanos party in Alcalá de Henares,  demanded someone take "political responsibility"  for the party.

"It is unacceptable that this kind of thing happens in a town hall, which belongs to the people and is not a place for staging private parties."

The mayor's office has launched an investigation into the “lamentable planning of a party involving a stripper” although accepted it at least took place outside working hours.
