Spain prepares for the BIG FREEZE as Siberian winter approaches

A cold front heading over from Siberia is expected to hit Spain tomorrow bringing freezing temperatures and snow even in Mediterranean coastal areas.
Spain’s Meteorological Agency (AEMET) issued severe weather warnings across 22 provinces for Tuesday predicting that temperatures will plummet to -15C in mountainous areas in the Pyrenees region bringing a high risk of avalanches.
Temperatures across the rest of the mainland are not expected to rise above 5C with snow forecast even in the coastal areas of Valencia and the Balearic Islands.
Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante and the Balearic Islands are on alert for strong winds gusting up to 80 km/h.
The coldest day is expected to be Wednesday.
