Watch: Costa del Sol hotel swamped in 60-foot geyser
A water mains in the resort of Benalmadena on Spain’s southern coast west of Malaga burst sending gallons of waters shooting into the air and causing a "mini-tsunami" through the breakfast buffet.
The geyser beside Los Pacos hotel lasted a little over half an hour on Monday before water authorities cut the supply but reached up to fifth floor balconies.
It also flooded the hotel reception and gardens and damaged the hotel’s four water parks.
The impressive spout was caught on camera by neighbours in a building opposite.
Luckily no-one was hurt in the incident although water was cut off until Thursday.
Water company Acosol said the problem was due to a "burst water pipe" and had now been fixed.
