Surf's up: Dozens of Santas take to the waves in Barcelona

A fundraiser this weekend saw dozens of Father Christmas's take to the waves with their boards in Barcelona - all in aid of a good cause.

Paddle boarding is really taking off along Spain's coasts, and aficianados of the watersport ditched their usual wetsuits for a very different look this weekend when they took part in a Christmas charity paddle.

Dozens of people took to the sea dressed as Santa Claus, complete with red suit, white beard and red Christmas hat.

The event, which took place on Sunday, was in aid of local charity Amics del Hospital del Mar which is raising money to built a special children's area in the local hospital.

The event was organized by Moloka'i surf centre, based in Barcelona.
