Every August the residents of Tejina on the Canary Island of Tenerife let their creative juices flow during their village's annual festival, which runs from August 23rd - September 6th.

One of the festival highlights, on August 31st, was the Fair of the Pamela, during which villagers showed off their home-made headgear, featuring everything from giant sunflowers to VW camper vans. The designs were loud, proud and gravity-defying.
