Spanish beer advert gets the Hollywood treatment
Hollywood's hottest young actress and star of Fifty Shades of Grey, Dakota Johnson, has a new starring role…in a Spanish beer commercial.
A trailer for the short film publicizing Spanish beer Estrella Damm has been released, starring Hollywood’s latest it girl, Dakota Johnson.
The film, called 'Vale' in Spanish and 'D’acord' in Catalan, was written and directed by acclaimed Spanish director Alejandro Amenábar, known internationally for his spooky ghost story The Others, starring Nicole Kidman.
The short film follows an American tourist (Johnson) who visits the Spanish holiday island of Ibiza where she makes friends with a group who are holidaying on the island, including Catalan actor Quim Gutiérrez and British actress Natalia Tena, best known for her role in Game of Thrones.
Johnson is famously the daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, but also has an important Spanish link - her step father is actor Antonio Banderas.

Estrella Damm has been brewed in Catalonia since 1876 and its summer commercials, often in the guise of short films, are hotly anticipated in Spain.
The full length short will be released on June 15th on the website www.mediterraneamente.es
