Oops: Man 'creates' first drive-thru supermarket
A man in the Basque Country crashed his car into a supermarket after accidentally hitting the accelerator in stead of the brake.
It brings new meaning to the term drive-through. A shopper in the northern Spanish town of Oiartzun drove his car through the window and into the check-out after mistaking the accelerator for the brake.
Shoppers were left stunned when the white Volkswagon Golf ploughed through the checkout area of the Alcampo supermarket, destroying two tills.
Local police confirmed that the accident happened at around 11am on Thursday April 9th.
According to witnesses, while rounding a bend in the car park the driver mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake sending his car careering into the store front.

The driver received medical treatment for shock following the accident but is said to have no lasting injuries.
