A bullfighter has been voted the man unfaithful wives in Spain would most like to have an affair with, beating Hollywood actors George Clooney and Brad Pitt.

Francisco Rivera Ordóñez, the 41-year-old torero commonly refered to as Fran, has topped a poll of the husband most Spanish wives would like to steal away, at least for a secret fumble.

Victoria Milan, a website that specializes in setting up extramarital affairs, revealed the surprising choice in a survey released to mark St Valentine´s Day.

They found that that most of the website´s female users, a staggering eight out of ten, would choose a married man with whom to have a "discreet romance", rather than someone single.

And that Fran, who married Lourdes Beatriz Montes Parejo, a lawyer from Seville in September 2013, was the number one choice.

More than a fifth of those asked (21.5 percent of the 3,563 female users of Victoria Milan) said Fran was the celebrity they would most like to have an affair with.

Some 17 percent chose newly-wed George Clooney, 15.4 per cent chose the Spanish tennis player Feliciano Lopez, and 13.2 per cent said they would risk the wrath of Angelina for a romp in the sack with her hubby Brad Pitt.

"If you cheat with someone who is also married then it’s a level playing field of understanding and complicity, with both most likely sharing the same needs and desires,"  explains sexologist Alicia Gallotti, a spokseman for the Victoria Milan agency.

"Taking a lover is not synonymous with an unhappy marriage, an affair just provides a different thrill and who better to understand that than someone who is also married," she added.

That may explain why Fran´s unmarried and arguably better looking younger brother Cayetano, pictured below, a fellow bullfighter and the face of luxury brand Loewe, did not even get a mention in the poll.
