Adriana Lima launches new Desigual ranage
Brazilian top model Adriana Lima was in Barcelona on Monday to lanch the autumn–winter range of Spanish fashion label Desigual after signing on recently to be an ambassador for the booming brand.
The 33-year-old who describes her heritage as 'Afro-Brazilian' signed on to be 'ambassador' for the massive Barcelona brand back in April.
On Monday, she returned to the Catalan capital during the city's 080 Barcelona Fashion Week to present the company's "Life is Great" autumn–winter range.
The campaign features the model — one of the five best paid in the world — at her "most sexy and natural," according to the global brand.
The company with its distinctive brightly coloured designs, has, along with fellow Spanish brands Zara and Mango, helped maked Spain a high-street heavyweight.
Desigual profits shot up 18 percent to €828 million ($1.13 billion) in 2013.
But the company has also received its fair share of controversy after it released a TV commercial showing a young woman sticking a pin into condoms as a means of falling pregnant more easily.
