A Spanish publishing company is paying tribute to the successes of the country's most famous Hollywood export, Penélope Cruz, by turning her into a comic character.

She may have been the first Spanish actress to win an Oscar, but Penelope Cruz's trophy cabinet was no doubt incomplete without a comic book in which she’s the starring character.

Korat Comics has now unveiled the first cartoon strips to form part of 'Penélope Cruz. Movie Biographies'.

"She represents how effort and commitment can be transformed into success," comic creator Manuel Díaz told Spanish daily El Mundo.

Through his graphic novel, Diaz illustrates every chapter of Pé's life, as her fans call her.

From her early beginnings in an 80s pop video to the birth of her children Leo and Luna, without forgetting of course her Oscar for Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
