Twenty-four-year-old Spanish medical student Manuel Rico has taken the internet by storm ever since a newspaper in the city where he's interning reported how female patients were queuing up to be 'treated' by him. He's young, handsome, has a career in medicine and his surname means both rich and delicious in Spanish.

Ever since his arrival in the Chilean city of Concepción in late 2013, this former beauty 'king' (Mr Spanish Beauty 2010) has left his mark on the university hospital where he has been completing an internship in gynaecology.

Not only did hospital authorities organize a press conference upon his arrival, local press soon began reporting on the long queues of women standing outside his surgery.
But Rico seems to have grown tired of his reputation as a pretty boy and would rather focus on his career as a doctor.
"I'd rather remain anonymous," he told Spanish daily ABC.
"The modelling I did was a great experience, but I don’t want to have any more to do with it now."
