VIDEO: Real Madrid snap up Japanese wonderkid
Nine-year-old Takuhiro Nakai caught the attention of the wealthiest football club in the world thanks to several YouTube videos in which he displays unbelievable skills for someone his age.
Takuhiro became a celebrity in his native Japan at the tender age of seven when he appeared on a local TV programme showing off his dribbling abilities.
Real Madrid have now decided to recruit the talented “Pipi”, as he is nicknamed, in the hope he will grow up to be the club’s next Cristiano Ronado.
Barça have already recruited another young star from the land of the rising sun – 11-year-old Takefusa Kubo, nicknamed the “Japanese Messi”.
