Summer in Spain means music festivals but it's not all sweaty teens and nightmare campsites. In this week's Spanish Essentials, we take a tour around great festivals that showcase everything from indie rock to classical music and all points between.
The prestige Benicàssim and Sonar music festivals may be over but that doesn't mean it's time to pack up your bags and go home.
There are plenty of great musical events around Spain in the coming months.
Options range from Madrid's DCode featuring indie rockers Franz Ferdinand to a major flamenco fiesta in Murcia.
There then's classical music, reggae, jazz and blues, and that's just for starters.
